Stuff: Words
See you in the forums!
Being the narcissist that I am, I love it when my toons are mentioned in a forum (who doesn't?) - all the more so if it isn't orchestrated by me and the more incredulous the initial post the better!!

Free Body Zone
The probability of a nudist forum discussing Loxie & Zoot is (one might hope) fairly likely. I have found it mentioned in passing in a few. What I like most about this thread at freebodyzone.com is that it ends up talking about nudity in mainstream comics... and by including it on this page I'm almost guaranteeing Google hits from fan boys looking for nude pics of the X-Men! (hehe)
Nudist Comic Books
Doug H
I heard someone mention being a comic book junkie in the "Nude Celebrities" discussion. There are at least 2 cartoon books based in nudism. One is "Wearing a Smile" which is British, the other is "The Koala Bares" which is Australian. Don't know of any others.

Don't know if they still run it but UK tabloid The Sun used to have a little toon strip called George And Lynne. It was rare you'd see an entire strip with the characters dressed all the time.

There is Loxie & Zoot, of course. Clothesfree.com also has nudist comics. And wasn't there that "Love is...?" comic strip where the main characters were nude? Have to check in on that.
EDIT: forgot The Koala Bares and Loxie & Zoot are the same thing. Boy, do I feel stupid. ^_^

Mynokinis, or Minokinis, was a french comic book about the adventures of different people on a nudist island.

Starchild
Daniel is right. The charaters in "Love is" are nude, and that strip runs in major newspapers in the U.S.
However the characters bodies are not gender specfic, just the heads.

In more mainstream comics, there have not been to my knowledge any full fledged comics centered around nudism, but there have been many references.
As I mentioned earlier, Girl One, from the series Top Ten is a full nudist. There's a funny story about how they find out about her lifestyle.
Storm from the X-Men was topless in her first appearence, where she was worshipped as a goddess of the storms. There are many references to her being nude several times in the series since. One that stands out is in one issue where she is flying naked though a rain storm she created to take a shower.
In a recent issue of Captain America, our hero meets a woman from Atlantis who gets on his case for how most humans seem so restrained and ashamed not only with their bodies but with their hearts, that that's what causes so many problems on the surface world.
These are just a couple of examples I can think of off hand, but there are writers who are for it out there and treat it respectfully. I also successfully drove the spike in my non-nerd coffin.

Yeah, nudity is common in comic books. Nudity - but not nudism, unfortunately.. I have a couple of X-Men issues, precisely the 'Shi'ar saga', if anyone knows it, and most of the X-Men appeared naked! Psylocke was meditating after a shower in the nude; Jubilee, Wolverine, and Professor X were captured by shape-shifters who had them strung up to some kind of matrix, in the nude of course. In another X-Men story line, Rogue is sort of 'reborn', and of course, as you can tell, humans get born in the nude! And the cool thing is, she goes on with only a yellow shirt for the rest of the comic! lol.. I like the cool attitude about nudity anyway.. and of course, all the 'bits' were carefully and smartly covered..
Nude Disco
This one is can be found on a Harry Potter fan site under their 'Nude Disco' section (didn't know Harry and Hermoine were into that sort of thing at Hogwarts!). Hasn't been any new posts for a while. Here's the text, minus signatures, typos, etc.
Nudist webcomic???????
Skippy the Klingon
LoxieandZoot.com - Yep, all the characters are naked about 95% of the time, there is an actual plot to the story, and yes I have read through all of it...

Unlike the other 26 people who looked, but didn't post, I read a bunch of the strips. Interesting stories. I guess they are in Australia? Or some other place where they drive on the wrong side of the road.
-

Wrong side of the road, you Americans drive on the wrong side of the car. Why left? That just seems awkward. Who's to say what is wrong, lol? To Europeans it is normal you see.
-
Skippy the Klingon
Whoa, three replies in and already off topic. That must be a new record

So I did get off topic, my apologies and now, my thoughts on the comic. I read comics for artwork not story or humor or sex so this didn't really appeal to me but I do think it is well done.
-
la qui no habla
Not all Europeans drive on the left side of the road.

I think it is an Australian comic and we do not drive on the wrong sie of the road. And we do not run around naked.

Arg. It's great Skip

I for one love it. It's actually really intelligent and witty. I loved the Mungo characters. I cracked up when he held up his sign to the politician. The nudity is actually really tastefully done. Nothing at all obsene or overtly sexual about it.
Oh and it is stated at the end of the strip that they are in Austrailia. Come on, "Koala Bare Retreat". That's so Aussie.
Thanks Skip for the head up.

lol, this was just fun
(and by the way Bee, I love Australia, maybe because it's the other side of the world, I don't know... think I should go there on holiday some time, check out if you guys really don't run around naked)

OK Sonja I admit we do occasionally run around naked sometimes not all the best pretty sight ::shudders:: but most of the time we do have to keep our clothes on otherwise we will get sunburnt and that is quite painful.

We don't?
Damn. Note to self - remember to buy clothes
-
Annsa McFyrthe
Maybe you don't run around naked, but that doesn't mean that the rest of us can't.
Course, there's the whole indecent exposure bum rap, but hell. We can't break the rules all the time.
Or can we?
